1957 Ford Fairlane 500, Automatic, black/yellow, 100,000mi

This vehicle is located in Highland, CA 92346. This is the car that outsold the 1957 Chevy. It is a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500. I have had it for 4 years. I purchased the car from a gentleman in Banning Calif before he died of cancer. I had a 1939 Roadster he just finished and it looked beautiful. He was starting to work on this car when he got sick. He was 69 years old. This car was purchased Primered. When I bought it he said it was 90% done. He had the motor and transmission gone through. This car has since had this work done to it. Rebuilt Carb, double glass pack (awesome sounding) mufflers put on. I paid $500 to have this done at a friends muffler shop. Had it repainted 1 1/2 ago. Had motor take out to replace rear main seal that was leaking. Fixed with neoprin gasket that will not leak. This is the new kind that replaces the rope seal that Ford put in these cars. Had $1100 worth of Period correct white walls put on two years ago. I even have the spare white wall without the rim still in the wrapping. Found and purchased the Correct Ford jack and period correct spare tire fitting to hold the spare tire in place. New 3 gauge ammeter, battery and compression meter that works perfectly. New windshield was put on by the original owner in banning. So was the back window. Needs two new side windows that are cracked. I have found the whole set with free delivery on ebay for $195. Have all reciepts. Have a file 2 inches thick that goes with the car. Again, you will not find a better 1957 Ford Fairlane for this price anywhere. This has always been a California car. This car has always been in either a closed garage or a barn where it currenly is parked. We have parties in this barn so the floors are not dirt. It has been on this cement barn floor since purchased. Very Dry and clean. NO RUST anywhere on this car. Unless you look under the car there may be rust on some surface parts but none that i can see when i look under the car. The bottom was sprayed by the previous owner with a black protection barrier. I also Put a Brand new Gas Tank. (expensive job). I have the reciepts for this too. I have a new gas line that is in the package that goes with the car. I also have the original little red work light that goes in the glove compartment still in its orginal box. I have original fog lights that I will sell separetly on ebay. Can not through these in so don't ask. I paid $400 for them. They are original old dealer stock that has the original box, original schematics, original wireing and original knobs. These Fog lights are perfect pristine chrome. Still in box. You can drive this car anywhere. I notice a slight hesitation at first press down of gas peddle. Than its all power from there. Maybe the Carb needs rebuilding or m and m's carb center didn't do it right. Any way, don't have the time to mess with it anymore. Who ever gets this car will get a car that is in great condition for its age. No carpet on the inside. Still primered like the day I purchased it. Seats are in great condition but its the old Green that Ford put on at the factory in 1957 and should be replaced to match the outside color of the car. I will leave that to the new owner. The paint looks great from 10 feet away. But on closer inspection it should be repainted. Few places that the paint ran on the inside of the car on the dash. Again for its age it looks great. Perfect for the collector that wants a care that doesnt need very much more. That is up to the person that is interested to come and see before you buy. Asking 17500. I will be posting on ebay soon.
